SUMMARY:COVID-19 Community Town Halls
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn the early days of COVID-19\, UCLA faculty and staff were scrambling to respond to the needs of the community. In the spirit of partnership\, the town halls were launched to combine efforts and respond more efficiently to the needs of the community and our partners. Agencies\, such as the LA County Department of Children and Family Services and the Los Angeles County Office of Education\, joined us for these collaborative discussions with faculty and staff from across UCLA’s campus. \n

DESCRIPTION:COVID-19 presented our community and child welfare system with many challenges. This 12-part speaker series addresses those issues head-on\, touching on important topics like child abuse\, education inequity\, and delays in permanency. This series is presented in partnership with community-based organizations and UCLA faculty\, as part of our ongoing commitment to bridging the UCLA campus with community partners across the Los Angeles region. \n
