Dr. Jessica Pryce: Eradicating Racism and Bias in Foster Care

Launched in response to the killing of George Floyd and many other Black Americans, this 3-part lecture series addressed systemic racism and the issues giving rise to the disproportionate number of Black children in foster care. This series was hosted in partnership with Children’s Law Center of California & the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.

Dr. Pryce is currently the Executive Director of the Florida Institute for Child Welfare at Florida State University. Dr. Pryce has worked on the frontlines of child welfare, conducted primary research, been a policy advisor to Florida’s legislature and taught graduate level courses in child welfare.
