Haregeweyne Kebede

Graduate Student Researcher

Harege Kebede is a second year Master of Public Policy student at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, specializing in International and Social Policy. Her research interests include child and family well-being, racial and economic equity, immigrant and refugee integration, and the policies that shape opportunities for historically marginalized communities. She brings experience in local government and the nonprofit sector, including conducting research and preparing policy briefings for the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and supporting refugee and asylee communities through workforce development, financial empowerment, and health promotion initiatives at the International Rescue Committee. Harege looks forward to supporting the UCLA Pritzker Center's research and education efforts to advance equitable outcomes for children and families.
